Episode 175

Actress April Strelinger and the Non-Linear Road to Success

This week on Excelsior Jouneys, host and producer George Sirois sat down with actress April Strelinger. A St. Louis native, April and George met while in Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, and the two started a friendship that lasts to this day. After graduating from college, April returned to St. Louis and became a regular for The Muny, the historic outdoor theatre company, and her first show was Les Miserables in 2013. But in 2022, she was part of an instant classic, the Muny's production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and April has quite a few stories about her experiences in theatre and how she took a very non-linear path to success that she continues to walk today.
